Calendar & Apple Calendar
The day-by-day calendar view, and showing your Mac's events alongside tasks.
Todebaran has two things that share the word "calendar," and it helps to keep them apart:
- The Calendar view — a day-by-day agenda of your tasks.
- The Apple Calendar integration — read-only system events shown next to your tasks.
The Calendar view#
Open it with ⌘6. Rather than a month grid, the Calendar view shows a single day at a time: the tasks scheduled for that day, a completed section, day headings, a per-day note, and a progress ring.
A timeline strip along the top lets you jump between days; move a day at a time with ⌘← and ⌘→, or open the date picker to leap to any date. You can drag tasks within the day to reorder or complete them.
Showing your Mac's calendar events#
On macOS, Todebaran can display events from your system calendars alongside your tasks, so your commitments and your to-dos sit in one place. Events are read-only — Todebaran never changes them.
Turn it on#
- Open Settings → Integrations → Apple Calendar.
- Toggle Enable. macOS will ask for permission to read your calendars — choose Allow.
- Pick which calendars to show in the list below.
Once on, events appear on Today, Tomorrow, Calendar and Upcoming, each with its start time (or "All day"). Click an event to open it in Apple Calendar, where you can edit it.
If you didn't grant access, or turned it off later, macOS controls the permission — not Todebaran. Re-enable it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars. See Calendar events aren't showing.
Only the calendars you check are shown, so you can keep, say, a shared family calendar visible while hiding a noisy subscription one.
