Your account & Pro

Signing in, the Pro trial, and managing your subscription.

Todebaran works fully without an account — everything runs offline and your data is yours from the first launch. You only ever sign in to carry a Pro subscription across your devices.

What Pro adds#

The whole app is free to use, with sensible limits. Pro lifts those limits and adds:

Open Settings → Account and choose one of:

  • Continue with Google
  • Continue with Apple
  • Continue with email — we email you a 6-digit code to enter.

Signing in creates your account if you don't have one yet — there's no separate sign-up step.

Start a Pro trial#

You can try Pro free for 7 days from the paywall in the app or the sidebar. Monthly and annual plans are available, priced in your local currency.

Checkout asks for a card before the trial starts. Nothing is charged while the trial runs, after which the plan you picked begins automatically — so keeping Pro takes no further action, and cancelling during the trial costs nothing. The app shows the exact date your subscription starts in Settings → Account, and you can cancel from there under Manage subscription.

The trial is available once per account. If you have had one before, the paywall offers Pro without it — everything else about the subscription is the same. Switching between monthly and annual becomes available once the trial turns into a paid subscription.

Manage your subscription#

From Settings → Account you can Refresh your status, open Manage subscription to change or cancel, and switch to annual billing. The account screen shows your plan and when it renews.

App Store vs direct download

If you installed from the Mac App Store, purchasing and subscription management happen through the App Store, and some in-app buttons are hidden. The direct download handles checkout and management in your browser.

Working offline#

Pro keeps working offline for a grace period, so a flaky connection never locks you out mid-flight. You'll see a gentle warning if that grace is running low and you need to reconnect.

Sign out#

Signing out is safe: your tasks and settings stay exactly where they are. If you're on Pro, its features pause on that device until you sign back in (which needs a connection).
