Your account & Pro

Todebaran works fully without an account — everything runs offline and your data is yours from the first launch. You only ever sign in to carry a Pro subscription across your devices.

What Pro adds#

The whole app is free to use, with sensible limits. Pro lifts those limits and adds:

• Sync across your devices
• Shared spaces for planning with others
• Unlimited areas, projects, collections and smart lists
• Extra and custom themes
• The in-app AI assistant

Sign in#

Open Settings → Account and choose one of:

• Continue with Google
• Continue with Apple
• Continue with email — we email you a 6-digit code to enter.

Signing in creates your account if you don't have one yet — there's no separate sign-up step.

Start a Pro trial#

You can try Pro free for 7 days from the paywall in the app or the sidebar. Monthly and annual plans are available, priced in your local currency; so is a one-time lifetime license, which has no trial because it has no first charge to defer.

Checkout asks for a card before the trial starts. Nothing is charged while the trial runs, after which the plan you picked begins automatically — so keeping Pro takes no further action, and cancelling during the trial costs nothing. The app shows the exact date your subscription starts in Settings → Account, and you can cancel from there under Manage subscription.

The trial is available once per account. If you have had one before, the paywall offers Pro without it — everything else about the subscription is the same. Switching between monthly and annual becomes available once the trial turns into a paid subscription.

Buy a lifetime license#

Pro is also sold once, outright. On the paywall it sits beside the monthly and annual plans; on the website it is the third position in the billing switch. There is no subscription behind it — nothing renews, there is nothing to cancel, and it comes with no free trial, because there is no first charge to defer.

It covers Pro on all your devices, on the same account, for good.

If you already subscribe#

You can buy it while a subscription is running — from Settings → Account, or from the pricing section on the website. What happens then is worth knowing before you press it:

• You pay the license price in full. Nothing is refunded, and nothing is prorated.
• The subscription you have already paid for runs to the end of its period and then stops renewing by itself. You do not need to cancel it, and you lose none of the time you paid for.
• Pro never lapses in between — the license covers you from the moment the purchase confirms.

While that last period runs, Settings → Account shows your plan as Pro — Lifetime with a note saying when the old subscription stops. Once it does, the note goes away on its own.

Manage your subscription#

From Settings → Account you can Refresh your status, open Manage subscription to change or cancel, and switch to annual billing. The account screen shows your plan and when it renews.

If you own a lifetime license and have no subscription, that button reads View receipts instead — there is nothing to manage, but your invoice is still there. Invoices come from Paddle, who handle the payment, and are emailed to you as well.

Working offline#

Pro keeps working offline for a grace period, so a flaky connection never locks you out mid-flight. You'll see a gentle warning if that grace is running low and you need to reconnect.

Sign out#

Signing out is safe: your tasks and settings stay exactly where they are. If you're on Pro, its features pause on that device until you sign back in (which needs a connection).
