Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using Todebaran you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are entered into between you and Jakub Holub, with registered address at Vítkovice 378, 512 38, Czech Republic (Business ID / IČO: 04313135).

2. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own task and project management, subject to these Terms. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code except as permitted by law.

3. Accounts

Some features (such as sync and shared spaces) require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Paid plans & billing

Todebaran is free to use. Todebaran Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks sync, custom themes, shared spaces and unlimited areas, projects, collections and smart lists. It is sold either as a subscription or as a one-time lifetime license.

• Pro is offered with a 7-day free trial, once per customer. A valid payment method is required to start the trial; nothing is charged while it runs, and cancelling before it ends costs nothing. If your account has already had a trial — including one that was cancelled — Pro is available to subscribe to without one.
• After the trial, the subscription starts and then renews automatically at the then-current price shown at checkout (currently €3.00/month or €30.00/year, localized to your region) unless cancelled beforehand.
• The lifetime license is a one-time purchase (currently €90.00, localized to your region). It is not a subscription: nothing renews, there is nothing to cancel, and it comes with no free trial. If you buy it while a subscription is running, that subscription continues to the end of the period you have already paid for and then stops renewing; it is not refunded, and no further payments are taken.
• Billing is handled by RevenueCat, and their terms also apply.
• Refunds are governed by our cancellation policy — for a subscription you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals, and amounts already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable; the lifetime license, being paid once, has no renewals to stop — and by applicable consumer law, including any statutory right of withdrawal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or disrupt the service. In shared spaces, you are responsible for the content you contribute and for having the right to share it.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the tasks, notes and other content you create. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service for you — for example, to store and sync your data across your devices.

7. Sharing slips (Community Slips)

Community Slips lets you submit a slip you made so other people can view and download it. Submitting a slip is optional and requires an account.

• Your warranties. You confirm that the slip is your own work (or that you otherwise have the right to share it), that it infringes no one else’s rights, and that it contains nothing unlawful, harmful or malicious — including in any shell commands, scripts or URLs it runs. Do not include secrets, credentials, or other people’s personal data.
• License you grant. By submitting a slip you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, review, reproduce, display and distribute it through Community Slips, and you allow other users to download it and use it in their own copy of the App. You keep ownership of your slip and may ask us to remove your published slip at any time.
• Review and removal. Submitted slips are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or later remove any slip at our discretion — for example, if it is unsafe, infringing, or off-topic. We are under no obligation to publish a submission.
• Downloading others’ slips. Shared slips are provided by their authors “as is”. Some run shell commands or JavaScript on your device — review what a slip does before importing and running it, and only run slips you trust.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
